Basketball Recap: Walnut Grove Takes a Loss

Walnut Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 53-45 to the Weaubleau Tigers. Walnut Grove lost against Weaubleau in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-37 score last time.

Walnut Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Weaubleau, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Grove will host Wheatland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Wheatland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Walnut Grove surely won't give up without a fight. As for Weaubleau, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
