Football Game Preview: Clarion Area vs. Clarion-Limestone

Clarion-Limestone will challenge Clarion Area on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Clarion-Limestone strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 42.89 points per game.

Clarion-Limestone put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Curwensville 46-14. Junior Austin Newcomb was the offensive standout of the match for Clarion-Limestone, as he rushed for 416 yards and 5 touchdowns. That makes it nine straight good games in a row from Newcomb.

Meanwhile, Clarion Area suffered a grim 19-48 defeat to Brockway. The state rankings had actually given Clarion Area a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Clarion-Limestone's victory lifted them to 7-2 while Clarion Area's loss dropped them down to 7-4. We'll see if Clarion-Limestone's success rolls on or if Clarion Area are able to steal their positive momentum.
