It was a proper cat-fight when Legacy faced off against South East on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Savannah Medina made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Alissa Andon and Priscilla Medina did most of the damage at the plate: Andon went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Priscilla went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Andon has posted since back in March of 2024. Adamary Leon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Legacy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South East only posted an OBP of .250.

Legacy pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for South East, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Legacy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jaguars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
