Basketball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft made up a huge gap compared to their last game against KIPP NYC College Prep, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 62-60 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for KIPP NYC College Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Taft will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mt. St. Michael Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026. KIPP NYC College Prep and Gloversville will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
