Basketball Game Preview: Boquet Valley Griffins vs. Ticonderoga Sentinels

The Boquet Valley Griffins will take on the Ticonderoga Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boquet Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ticonderoga likes a good challenge.

If Ticonderoga heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Boquet Valley took over last week. Boquet Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Placid on Wednesday, sneaking past 56-54. The Griffins haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Ticonderoga was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 45-44 to Saranac. While the Sentinels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 13-6 in the first quarter.

Boquet Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Ticonderoga, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11.

Boquet Valley came up short against Ticonderoga in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 45-33. Can Boquet Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
