The culmination of one of the greatest high school football seasons took place live on MaxPreps.com Wednesday afternoon.

Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), which captured a mythical national championship according to both the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 and Computer Rankings, signed 10 players to FBS scholarships, including MaxPreps National Player of the Year Tate Martell.

Martell, a three-year starting quarterback, wasn't at the ceremony — he's enrolled at Ohio State — but the rest of his nine teammates were.

Running back Biaggio Ali Walsh signed with Cal, wide receivers Austin Arnold and Tyjon Lindsey signed with Nevada and Nebraska respectively, defensive end Haskell Garrett signed with Ohio State, linebacker Farrell Hester and defensive back Greg Francis signed with UNLV, defensive backs Bubba Bolden signed with USC, defensive back Malik Hausman signed with Arizona and Alex Perry signed with Arizona State.

Bishop Gorman finished 15-0 for the third consecutive season, beating five teams that were at one time ranked in the Top 25. The Gaels outscored opponents 794-130. Kenny Sanchez, in his second season as head coach, was picked the MaxPreps National Coach of the Year.
