The Purdue Polytechnic Techies will take on the Indy Genesis HomeSchool Indy Genesis at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Purdue Polytechnic came up short against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on Friday, falling 13-4. The loss put an end to the Techies' undefeated start to the season.

Purdue Polytechnic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kin Chow, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Indy Genesis HomeSchool ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Irvington Preparatory Academy 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indy Genesis have posted since May 11, 2024.

The victory was the third in a row for Indy Genesis HomeSchool, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Purdue Polytechnic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Purdue Polytechnic was able to grind out a solid victory over Indy Genesis HomeSchool in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, winning 14-9. Do the Techies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indy Genesis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
