Recap: Riverdale Baptist Crusaders vs. Pallotti Panthers
The Riverdale Baptist Crusaders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They snuck past Pallotti with a 55-51 victory. For Riverdale Baptist, this counts as revenge for the 65-54 loss Pallotti walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Riverdale Baptist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chrisdin Jones, who scored 13 points. The match was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Faith Wylder, who scored 12 points.
Riverdale Baptist's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pallotti, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Riverdale Baptist will take on Oxford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Oxford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 158th in Mississippi, while Riverdale Baptist is ranked 25th in Maryland). As for Pallotti, they will head out on the road to face off against Shabach Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
