Baseball Recap: Colton Victorious

While Colton's victory against Carter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets won by a run and slipped past the Lions 3-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 16-2 victory last Wednesday.

Samuel Ruiz looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chris Trevino, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Colton: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-9 otherwise.
