Baseball Recap: Tri-County North Takes a Loss

Tri-County North couldn't beat Valley View on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Panthers lost 15-5 to the Spartans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tri-County North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Fannin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Fannin is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

The defeat snapped Tri-County North's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-7 record. As for Valley View, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County North will challenge National Trail at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley View, they will take on Franklin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
