Recap: South Caldwell Spartans vs. Watauga Pioneers
The South Caldwell Spartans lost against the Watauga Pioneers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. South Caldwell lost to Watauga on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin. South Caldwell has not had much luck with Watauga recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, South Caldwell still got an impressive performance from Lillie Bumgarner, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Bumgarner's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Edwards, who scored 11 points.
South Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Watauga, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
South Caldwell will take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watauga, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Tabor at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
