Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for West Valley

West Valley proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 37) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Bellevue Wolverines 71-68. The win was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Wolverines are ranked seventh).

The victory (which was West Valley's seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.9 points. As for Bellevue, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-3 record.

West Valley has already played their next matchup (against Eastmont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bellevue will head out on the road to square off against Interlake at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Interlake likes a good challenge.
