Football Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets

The Franklin Panthers will challenge the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

If Forest Hills heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Franklin took over last week. The Panthers walked away with a 24-14 victory over West Henderson two weeks ago. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Falcons on their field since October 28, 2016.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Forest Hills walked away with it. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 40-28 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Yellow Jackets needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

A big part of Forest Hills' win came down to the chemistry between Noah Furr and his top target Demarion Hough. Furr threw for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Hough picked up 67 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Furr racked up 104.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Cam Winnegan made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Forest Hills, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
