 Thursday just wasn't the day for David Crockett's offense. They fell just short of the Tennessee Vikings by a score of  2-0 on Thursday. David Crockett has struggled against Tennessee recently, as their  contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 For Tennessee's part,  Carly Compton made a splash no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Compton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Compton was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  double.
 In other batting news,  Addie Wilhoit was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Kaylie Hughes, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.

As for Tennessee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morristown-Hamblen East at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
