Football Game Preview: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. Trinity Christian Crusaders

The Wayne Christian Eagles will take on the Trinity Christian Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wayne Christian, who comes in off a win.

Wayne Christian proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 48) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by South Wake 21-20.

Wayne Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamari Hill out in front who rushed for 138 yards on only 13 carries. Another back making a difference was Devin Davis, who rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wayne Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 43 points the game before, Trinity Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by High Point Christian Academy 44-8. The loss was the Crusaders' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Christian fell to 3-1. As for Wayne Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
