Basketball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Knightdale Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Orange Panthers will jump right back in to play the Knightdale Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Orange was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to Willow Spring.

Meanwhile, Knightdale humbled Green Level with a 73-44 victory. That looming 73-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Orange better keep an eye on Brennen Jefferson. He was instrumental in Knightdale's win, putting up 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Juice Coleman was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 14 points.

Knightdale was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

The victory made it two in a row for Knightdale and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
