Crystal Lake South kept up with Cary-Grove until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Trojans never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering Cary-Grove have won five games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Crystal Lake South with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elle Stawarz, Julia Valaitis, and Samantha Skerl.

Cary-Grove now has a winning record of 6-5-2. As for Crystal Lake South, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Coming up, Cary-Grove will host Richmond-Burton at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crystal Lake South, they will venture away from home to take on Marian Central Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marian Central Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Crystal Lake South surely won't give up without a fight.
