Basketball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was the 56-55 winner over Jubilee Brownsville when they last played one another on January 10th, but their luck changed this time around. The Valley View Tigers took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jubilee Brownsville Titans on Tuesday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Jubilee Brownsville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javier Cisneros, who posted ten points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cisneros a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Lucca Ramirez, who had 12 points and six boards.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Jubilee Brownsville, their record now sits at 14-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley View will host Grulla at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley View is facing Grulla at the right time seeing as Grulla is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Jubilee Brownsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Feria at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. La Feria will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Jubilee Brownsville surely won't give up without a fight.
