Softball Recap: Gustine Takes a Loss

Gustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the Ripon Indians.

Gustine's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Ripon, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Gustine will face off against Le Grand at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Reds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ripon, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
