Baseball Recap: Pickerington North Comes Up Short

Pickerington North made up a huge gap compared to their last game against New Albany, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-6 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Eagles since April 21, 2023.

Keegan Reuscher was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pickerington North saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Turnbull, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Turnbull has snagged this season.
