Volleyball Recap: Marmion Takes a Loss

Marmion lost against St. Laurence back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cadets fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Marmion sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 25-20.

Marmion's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for St. Laurence, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

Marmion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against St. Edward on the 10th. As for St. Laurence, they will challenge Chicago Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
