Basketball Recap: Streamwood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Streamwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Elk Grove Grenadiers, falling 66-38. The Sabres were not able to make up for their defeat to the Grenadiers from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

Streamwood's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Stein, who posted nine points and three steals. Julian Gomez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Streamwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Elk Grove, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Streamwood is taking a road trip to square off against West Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elk Grove, they will be home for the holidays to greet North Shore Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Grenadiers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
