Soccer Recap: The Platte Comes Up Short

The Platte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kearney Catholic Stars. That's two games in a row now that The Platte has lost by just one goal.

The Platte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kearney Catholic, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coincidentally, The Platte and Kearney Catholic will both be playing Lakeview the next time they take the pitch. The Platte will head out to face Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kearney Catholic will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
