Gardner has gone 8-1 against Murdock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. Murdock took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Gardner, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Gardner beat St. Bernard's Central Catholic 7-3. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Meanwhile, Murdock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Tahanto Regional, falling 9-0.

Murdock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikey Quinn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Gardner, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Gardner was able to grind out a solid victory over Murdock in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
