Basketball Recap: Thurgood Marshall Academy Takes a Loss

Thurgood Marshall Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 73-38 loss at the hands of the KIPP College Prep Panthers. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-16.

KIPP College Prep was led to victory by Kaden Butler and Mikah Prescott-Bell. Butler posted 22 points, while Prescott-Bell put up 16 points.

Thurgood Marshall Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for KIPP College Prep, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Friendship Collegiate Academy the next time they take the court. KIPP College Prep will head out to face Friendship Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Thurgood Marshall Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
