Baseball Recap: Disney II Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Disney II lost to Rauner back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Disney II was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over Rauner.

The team relied heavily on Victor Rivera, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Coughlin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Disney II always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rauner only posted an OBP of .423.

Disney II's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Rauner, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Disney II will take on Chicago Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rauner, they will challenge Cristo Rey Jesuit at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
