The Warriors did not reach the state tournament last year, but they do return one of the state's top players in Codie Paiva. A third baseman, Paiva has been one of the team's top hitters this year, posting a .390 batting average. Kamehameha also has one of the state's top first basemen in Chance Arakaki, who earned honorable mention all-state honors last season.

5. Mid-Pacific Institute (Honolulu)

Mid-Pacific earned one of the top seeds in last year's Division 1 playoffs, but it lost to Mililani in the second round. Most of the starters from that team have graduated, however Chase Wago, a second team all-state pitcher as a sophomore, returns along with catcher Noah Shackles, who earned all-state honorable mention.
