Ooltewah is 9-1 against Hixson since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Ooltewah Owls will square off against the Hixson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Two weeks ago, Ooltewah ended up a good deal behind Loudon and lost 56-40. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Redskins are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, Hixson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of CSTHEA.

Hixson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ooltewah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Ooltewah strolled past Hixson in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 40-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ooltewah since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
