Basketball Game Preview: Avon Eagles vs. St. Ignatius Wildcats

The Avon Eagles will challenge the St. Ignatius Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Avon will be strutting in after a win while St. Ignatius will be coming in after a loss.

Avon is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since December 19, 2023 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over Lorain. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, St. Ignatius faced Louisville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. St. Ignatius fell just short of Louisville by a score of 67-65.

Avon's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for St. Ignatius, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.
