Basketball Recap: Williston Comes Up Short

Williston was the 74-60 winner over Dickinson when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Williston Coyotes were beaten by the Dickinson Midgets 90-53 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Midgets are ranked 27th).

Williston has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Dickinson, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bismarck the next time they take the court. Williston will host Bismarck at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, while Dickinson will host them at 8:30 p.m. on February 4th.
