Basketball Recap: Mercer Comes Up Short

Mercer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 72-54 bruising from the Sharon Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Tigers are ranked 127th).

Mercer's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Sharon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Mercer nor Sharon have any future games scheduled.
