Basketball Recap: Moore Comes Up Short

The Moore Mustangs lost 77-57 to the Pikeville Panthers on Saturday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pikeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Moore and Pikeville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Moore (ranked 34th) will meet Western (ranked 181st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Pikeville (ranked 59th) will meet Prestonsburg (ranked 216th) at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
