Football Recap: Xaverian Comes Up Short

Xaverian lost against St. John the Baptist back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clippers fell 25-21 to the Cougars. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maurice Scott was a one-man wrecking crew For St. John the Baptist. as he rushed for 250 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 15.6 yards per carry. Those 250 rushing yards gave Scott a new career-high. Kalen Percer-Hogue was another key player, rushing for 40 yards and two touchdowns.

Xaverian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. John the Baptist, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Xaverian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-0 win against Holy Trinity on the 19th. As for St. John the Baptist, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 32-28 defeat against Holy Cross on the 21st.
