Volleyball Recap: Southwest Trojans vs. McAuley Catholic Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Galena, Southwest was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the McAuley Catholic Warriors. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-8, 25-15.
Marissa Freeman paced Southwest's offense, picking up 18 kills. Freeman got some help from Abi Hnem and her 15 assists. Emily Brooks controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
