Basketball Recap: Sky View Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sky View came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 victory over the Hunter Wolverines on Saturday.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Gallagher, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 boards. That was a full 46.5% of Hunter's points, marking the fourth time in a row Gallagher has posted more than a third of the team's points. Kiana Pauni was another key player, putting up 16 points and five rebounds.

Sky View now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hunter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sky View will venture away from home to face off against Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Bobcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hunter, they will head out on the road to challenge Weber at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 54.7 points per game this season.
