Lowndes had little trouble with Ware County en route to a 45-7 win at
Ware County, highlighting a busy Friday night in Georgia High School
football.
The best game of the night came
at second-ranked Marietta, which used a strong second half to defeat
Florida power Edgewater, 39-24.
Harrison Bailey fired three touchdown
passes, two to
Taji Johnson, and two rushing TDs by
Kimani Vidal sealed
the win for Marietta, which improved to 4-1.
Five
of the Top 25 teams were idle this week: No. 7 Valdosta, No. 8 Grayson
(Loganville), No. 17 Milton, No. 22 Hillgrove (Powder Springs), and No.
23 Archer (Lawrenceville).
None of the other Top 25 teams lost on Friday night.
