Softball Game Preview: Berean Christian Bulldogs vs. Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack

The Berean Christian Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Berean Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Atlantic Christian with a sharp 18-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Hailey Georgic was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. Georgic was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Berean Christian let Sophia Britton and Julianne Severson run wild. Britton went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Severson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Severson has posted since back in March. Brianna Acosta was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs.

Berean Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Schoolhouse Prep entered their tilt with Miami Christian on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Victors.

Schoolhouse Prep's record now sits at 13-9. As for Berean Christian, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.
