Volleyball Recap: Sandwich Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sandwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Norsemen. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Norsemen from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Sandwich may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored ten points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10.

Newark can attribute much of their success to Taylor Jeffers, who had 13 assists and two aces. Madelin Dierzen also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Sandwich's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Newark, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Coming up, Sandwich will host Johnsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newark, they will venture away from home to face off against Leland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
