Softball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was the 5-5 winner over Spoto when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots came up short against the Spartans on Thursday, falling 16-5. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Spoto, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Freedom will be playing at home against Strawberry Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Spoto, they will face off against Tampa Bay Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
