Volleyball Recap: Maple Grove Beats Rogers for Their Sixth Straight Win

Maple Grove hadn't done well against Rogers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Crimson narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Royals 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Crimson have posted against the Royals since November 19, 2020.

Kacie Schulte paced Maple Grove's offense, picking up 15 kills. Schulte got some help from Amanda Swiers and her 14 assists. Finally, Schulte was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

The win (which was Maple Grove's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Coincidentally, Maple Grove and Rogers will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the court. The Royals will head out to face the Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crimson will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
