Softball Game Preview: Trinity Blazers vs. St. Francis Spartans

Trinity is 0-6 against St. Francis since May of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Blazers will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Trinity has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trinity came up short against Saint Ignatius College Prep on Monday, falling 15-4.

Trinity saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gisella Corral, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. Liv Trendel also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, St. Francis entered their tilt with Rosary on Monday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Royals.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Trinity suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to St. Francis in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Blazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
