Softball Recap: Benet Academy Has No Trouble Against Batavia

Benet Academy won the last time they faced Batavia and things went their way on Saturday too. The Redwings were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redwings.

Gianna Cunningham was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hannah Baer was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alaina Rosner, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
