Volleyball Game Preview: Immanuel Eagles vs. Reedley Pirates

The Immanuel Eagles will head out to face off against the Reedley Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Saturday. Immanuel came up short against Arroyo Grande, falling 3-0. Immanuel hasn't had much luck with Arroyo Grande recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Reedley waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Golden Bears by a score of 3-1.

Reedley was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 25-11.

Immanuel better keep an eye on Lexie Obeso. She was instrumental in Reedley's win, getting four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Obeso has posted over her last six contests.

Reedley's victory bumped their record up to 21-9-1. As for Immanuel, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

Immanuel couldn't quite get it done against Reedley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
