Soccer Game Preview: South Kitsap vs. Yelm

The South Kitsap Wolves will face off against the Yelm Tornados at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Kitsap's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, South Kitsap came up short against Curtis and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Yelm's offense. They lost 8-0 to Sumner on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Yelm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Sumner are ranked 11th).

Yelm has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's still a better percentage than their 1-11-1 record this season. As for South Kitsap, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.

South Kitsap took their win against Yelm in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 5-0 score. Do Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornados turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
