Softball Recap: Collaborative Studies Comes Up Short

Collaborative Studies extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They came up short against the Brooklyn Prospect Hawks, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Collaborative Studies of the 23-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Brooklyn Prospect, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

For Brooklyn Prospect's part, the team relied heavily on Ava Koper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Madeline Field was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Coming up, Collaborative Studies will host EBC/Bushwick at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brooklyn Prospect, they will challenge Banneker Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
