Ferndale waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Maroon Giants are ranked 36th).

Ferndale's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Kalamazoo Central, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
