Softball Recap: Pajaro Valley Comes Up Short

Pajaro Valley lost against North Monterey County back in May of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Condors, falling 27-8. The Grizzlies' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Elena Barron was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Eliana Carbajal was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Pajaro Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for North Monterey County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Coming up, Pajaro Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Anzar at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Monterey County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Gonzales at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Condors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
