Volleyball Recap: McFarland Cougars vs. Taft Wildcats
McFarland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Taft Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Taft's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaycee Edgar, who had 28 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cierrah Franks, who had six digs and three aces.
McFarland's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Taft, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McFarland will take on Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
