Baseball Recap: Monticello's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Monticello can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They never let the Union Knights get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since June 12th.

Monticello's win bumped their record up to 9-19. As for Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Monticello wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Anamosa on the 8th. Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
