Volleyball Recap: Waukesha South Blackshirts vs. Pewaukee Pirates

Waukesha South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Pewaukee Pirates, falling 3-0. If the Blackshirts were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in September of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bryn Woods paced Waukesha South's offense, picking up two kills. Woods got some help from Addisyn Staab and her three assists. Mara Paulin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Talia Piotrowski, who had seven aces and four digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hannah Padilla, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Waukesha South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Pewaukee, their victory bumped their record up to 21-11.

Looking ahead, Waukesha South will face off against Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pewaukee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
